What we believe

We encourage all families of any worldview to explore and find resources, support, and community here, committing to respectful and intellectually honest dialogue with those who disagree with you.

We want to be clear about our own worldview so families can make fully informed decisions.

  • We believe in open, honest, and age-appropriate conversations even about hard or controversial topics and opposing worldviews.

  •  We believe objective truth exists and can be known.

  • We believe that science and an intellectually robust faith are compatible and complimentary.

  • We believe that God exists and is the one God of Israel, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity of Yeshua of Nazareth, the Messiah, also called Jesus Christ, his fulfillment of the Scriptures through his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death through the voluntary shedding of his own blood, his bodily resurrection, and his ascension to the right hand of the Father.

  • We believe in the personal, bodily, and visible return of the Messiah to establish his kingdom on the earth and usher in the new creation of Heaven and Earth.

  • We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit as a person distinct from the Father and Son, and possessing all the divine attributes. He exalts the Son, convicts people of sin, enlightens and empowers believers and his church in worship, evangelism, and service.

  • We believe the Bible is the 66 books of the Old and New Testament. It is inspired by God and inerrant in the original autographs. It is the supreme authority in faith and life, and is useful for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.

  • We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but was alienated from God because of the rebellion (the Fall) of the first man and woman. Because of this, all humanity is born with a sinful nature and as such is separated from relationship with God. Each person can be reconciled to God through personal faith in the death and resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ), trusting in Him alone for salvation, not by any human works or activity.

  • We believe that all humans are created with eternal souls and have intrinsic value from the moment of conception. All those saved through their faith in the atoning death and resurrection of the Messiah will have eternal life with God, and all others will experience eternal separation from God, who is the source of all that is good, true, just, and beautiful.

  • We believe that God created the heavens, the universe, and all that is in them, and that the universe and nature show clear evidence of intelligent design. We believe that the details of exactly how this happened are not core issues and can be respectfully debated.

  • We affirm the Nashville Statement regarding biblical sexuality and gender.
